Investing in real estate market is just easier said than done. Yes, most of us love to have our own home sweet home, but turning this dream into reality may not be that simple. But if you are unmarried or a single parent, then investing your hard earned money on a 500 square feet area may not be that difficult. This time, we have found a small yet contemporary residential plan on the third floor that is enough for a person to enjoy his privacy. The entire space has been designed wisely to leave a voluminous impression on the viewer’s mind.

Willard Street Residence

Willard Street residence, though may be small, but is a judiciously planned residential design by Cary Bernstein. This small dwelling on the third floor is more like a tree house on a wooded site surrounded by vegetation. The residential plan comprises of a master bedroom, open kitchen plan, a small seating area and bathrooms. Designer has left enough of space in the kitchen for the homeowner to take pleasure while cooking, serving and enjoying meals. The kitchen and the eating counter are coupled together, thus making the counter easily accessible. If the owner needs to entertain guests, that can be easily done with this space flexibility.

Apart from this, there is a source of natural light that keeps the space perked up. Then adjacent to the kitchen is a small seating area, which you can also call a dining room. The best part about the house is the wooden flooring that gives a very comfortable and cozy feel in a chilly weather, while the trees shade the house in summers and keep the house cool. Bathrooms have been designed in a way that they receive light directly from the sun, otherwise they would have been shaded by the trees.

Though 500 square feet gives a notion of space complexity, but if you have a glance at the bathrooms, these are really capacious. The use of glass wall for separating the bath also gives an impression of a voluminous lavatory. The entire structural plan reflects functional yet contemporary design for a comfortable living.
